10 Black Brands To Shop Now
My love for Black brands knows no boundaries
I wanted to share with you all 10 Black Brands I love to shop year after year. This is not just a casual list of Black brands for you to support because it is trendy to support Black brands. These are Black brands that I’ve supported with my own money for several years. These are brands I can vouch for, speak to their quality, and account for their level of service and expertise.
These are brands I highly recommend
Fe noel
For Resort wear and statement pieces I always recommend Fe Noel. This is a brand I’ve supported for years and the styles keep me coming year after year. Her Caribbean inspired pieces are really investment pieces.
ANDREA IYAMAH
For bold swimwear and impeccable one-of-a-kind beachwear and occasion wear, I always recommend Andrea Iyamah. The Canadian and Nigerian based designer, is always at the forefront of swimwear design and continues to stun with amazing designs.
riot swim
A new swimsuit brand, I started purchasing this brand in 2020 but I wanted to include it on the last because I now have 5 swimsuits from the brand. Riot Swim recently had an incredible sale on their well cut swimsuits.
ASHAKA GIVENS
Ashaka Givens is a millinery that I just absolutely love. Not only is she just a warm human who makes you feel good, her hats are to die for. The colors, the cuts, the attention to detail is what keeps me coming back to her month after month.
PYER MOSS
Pyer Moss is a brand I fell in love with after watching one of his fashion shows. I’d heard of the brand, but hadn't yet purchased anything. I have a leisure set, a dress, a lavender blazer from the brand. I just love the range and scope and concepts of his designs and I always keep a few items of his on my mind when building out my wardrobe.
IMAD EDUSO
Imad Eduso is another brand I started shopping this year after a post I saw from Tamu McPherson rocking a beautiful pair of their pants. I only own three items from the brand but I really enjoy their statement pants. They’re a Nigerian based company that really knows how to do occasion pieces.
TONGORO
Tongoro is a Senegalese based brand that I’ve shopped for a few years now. They make incredible wide leg pants and amazing jumpsuits. Known for their abstract designs, Beyonce often wears her pieces in some of her African inspired music videos.
STELLA JEAN
Stella Jean rose to prominence when Rihanna wore one of her dresses. It was so hard to get your hands on one of those dresses you really had to beg, borrow and steal just to find it! In my quest for some of her more coveted pieces, I found so many of her skirts to be incredible statement pieces. She blends Haitian and Italian culture together so well.
HANIFA
Hanifa is a brand that has always had some of the most standout pieces with their bright colors. She has now ventured into resort wear which I’m really excited about. I own a few jumpsuits from her and an incredible linen crop top and pants set in both Black and White. Many of her pieces are apart of my summer wardrobe.
UNDRA CELESTE
For workwear pieces, beautiful silhouettes to wardrobe staples, I recommend Undra Celeste. I purchased a pair of silk shorts from her many years ago and have recently become a return customer. I love her incredibly comfy dresses at a great price point.
